“Our mission is to honor Our freedom and unity with the Mescalero Apache people. We acknowledge the Lipan Apache who were also united with the Mescalero Apache Tribe prior to the arrival of the Chiricahuas. We will commemorate with a four day celebration feast to include all three Apache bands to share and celebrate unity and freedom. Our ancestors who were Prisoners of war persevered and endured years of hardship. They were released to live on the Mescalero Apache Reservation and we are here to celebrate their release 100 years ago.” – Chiricahua Apache Celebration Facebook Page
